FAQ's
Who is the Course suitable for?
A FAIB Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is suitable for anyone who needs basic first aid skills to deal with emergencies in the workplace.
This course is ideal for:
- Employees designated as workplace first aiders in low-risk environments (such as offices, shops, or small businesses)
- Employers or business owners who want a good foundation in first aid
- Self-employed individuals
- Voluntary and community group members
- Anyone responsible for the health and safety of others at work
The course meets the requirements set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for low-risk workplaces following a first aid needs assessment.
If your workplace has higher risks (e.g. construction, manufacturing, or larger teams), a more comprehensive First Aid at Work (FAW) course may be required instead.
If you’re unsure which course you need, it’s always best to carry out a first aid needs assessment or get advice based on your specific workplace setup.
