Our 3-day FAIB First Aid at Work course provides comprehensive first aid training, covering both theory and practical skills to prepare you for emergencies in the workplace.

Course content includes:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Assessing an incident and conducting a primary survey
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and safe use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Recovery position for unresponsive casualties
  • Managing choking, seizures, and shock
  • Treatment of minor and severe bleeding
  • Burns, scalds, and other injuries
  • Fractures, sprains, and other musculoskeletal injuries
  • Eye injuries and other workplace-specific emergencies
  • Scenario-based practical exercises to apply your skills

Note: For low-risk workplaces or smaller groups, the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course may be more appropriate.

Compliance/ Certification

This course is compliant with HSE guidance.

The certificate is valid for 3 years and before the expiry date first aiders will need to undertake a First Aid At Work Re-qualification course to obtain another 3 year certificate.
